Petra Navarro is the chief operating officer (COO) of Megamundo in Grand Theft Auto VI. At a party celebrating the opening of the company’s U.S. headquarters, she meets Jason and Lucia, who have arrived as security for Andr辿s de Le坦n.
Who is Petra Navarro?
Petra is an executive at Megamundo. Her title, COO, stands for chief operating officer: a role responsible for overseeing a company’s day-to-day operations. It is a different position from chief executive officer, or CEO.
In the Extended Look, she attends a party at Megamundo’s headquarters, where Valentina introduces her to Jason and Lucia. After Andr辿s heads upstairs to a conference room, Petra wants him back at the party for a speech.
Meeting Jason and Lucia in the Extended Look
At around 21:15 in Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, Valentina introduces Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos to Petra as the new security detail for Andrés de León. She then tells the two protagonists that Petra is Megamundo’s COO.
Jason and Lucia are there because Valentina has hired them to protect Andr辿s. Meeting Petra establishes that their job takes them to an event attended by Megamundo’s senior executives.
Calling Andr辿s back to the party
After arriving, Andr辿s heads to an upstairs conference room to speak with some producers. When Jason comes to collect him, Andr辿s is enjoying himself with the people in the room and asks Jason to bring them drinks.
Jason, however, has come to bring him back to the party. He explains that Petra wants Andr辿s downstairs and that a big speech is about to take place. Andr辿s does not want to leave, but Jason urges him to return.
The exchange highlights a contrast between Petra, who is keeping an eye on the event’s schedule, and Andr辿s, who would rather keep enjoying himself. Jason’s security job involves more than protecting Andr辿s from danger: he also has to get him back to the event on time.
The Megamundo headquarters party and the attack
The party celebrates the opening of Megamundo’s first corporate headquarters in the United States. A speech thanks the guests and marks the opening, but armed intruders interrupt it and order everyone onto the floor.
The glamorous venue becomes the scene of a shootout, and Jason and Lucia move to protect Andr辿s. Jason later learns that Andr辿s has been captured and heads upstairs, while Lucia sets out to join him.
Meeting Petra brings the two protagonists into contact with corporate executives and Andr辿s’s circle. The security job at Megamundo draws them into a much larger incident.
