Things to Do in Story Mode
- Story Missions

Follow Jason and Lucia through a crime story that reaches across Leonida. Getting to know the protagonists and the people around them can help you understand the world and its characters.
Individual walkthroughs will cover where to start, how to complete each mission, and what unlocks the next one. The story guide introduces the story and scenes shown in released footage.
- Side Missions

Look here for jobs outside the main story. Individual guides will explain who offers each job, where it starts, and whether it requires progress in the story.
GTA 5 grouped some optional encounters under Strangers and Freaks. GTA 6’s official categories and full list of side missions have yet to be confirmed.
- Random Events

These encounters can draw you away from your destination as you explore the city and countryside. They offer reasons to stop and see what is happening around you.
As details become available, guides will cover locations, any time or story requirements, your choices and their outcomes, and rewards. Individual triggers and the total number of events are not yet confirmed.
- Hobbies & Activities

Beyond the story, you can enjoy activities such as fishing, hunting, kayaking, pool, and mini-golf. Leonida’s mountains, wetlands, coast, and cities offer different places to explore.
This section will cover how to play and tips for each activity. For a look at regions and the places found in them, visit the map guide.

This section will bring together collectibles and how to find them. Their exact types, total count, and any rewards for collecting them all have not been confirmed.
Use the map to explore locations; individual guides can cover collection steps and anything you might miss.
- Making Money

Looking to save up for a purchase or earn money more efficiently? This section will compare money-making methods, what they require, and when they become available as you progress.

- Cheat Codes

Earlier GTA games let players enter cheats to spawn vehicles and change gameplay conditions. GTA 6 may include cheat codes too, but their availability and contents have not been confirmed.
If cheats are announced, we will cover the codes and how to enter them, along with any effects on saving, trophies, and achievements.
- Completion & Awards

If you want to keep exploring after the story, this section will help you track completion goals and potentially missable objectives.
- 100% completion: What counts toward the in-game completion percentage.
- Trophies and achievements: Requirements and guides for PlayStation and Xbox.
- Awards: Requirements and rewards if GTA 6 includes in-game awards.
GTA 6’s specific objectives and requirements are not yet confirmed. We will explain 100% completion and earning every trophy or achievement separately. Any online-only objectives will be covered in an online guide.
