Rockstar Games has officially announced that the release of Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) has been delayed again, this time to .
GTA 6 Has Now Been Delayed Twice
The game was originally scheduled for fall 2025. The first delay was announced on , when Rockstar Games set a new release date of May 26, 2026. About six months later, on , the company announced a second delay to November 19, 2026.
Rockstar Games said that “these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve.” The first delay was similarly attributed to the additional time needed to meet players’ quality expectations.
What Does This Mean for the PC Version of GTA 6?
The latest delay moves GTA 6 approximately one year beyond its original launch window. This led to speculation that if a PC version had been planned for roughly one year after the console versions, the delay might result in the PC and console versions launching together.
However, the updated official GTA 6 website and Take-Two Interactive’s quarterly results released on the same day listed only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as supported platforms. At the time of the announcement, no release date for a PC version had been disclosed.
Take-Two Interactive’s Quarterly Results
A few hours after the GTA 6 delay was announced, parent company Take-Two Interactive published its fiscal second quarter 2026 results. The release included comments from Chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick about the delay.
“Rockstar Games will now release Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19, 2026,” Strauss Zelnick said.
Zelnick added that Take-Two remained excited and confident in Rockstar Games’ ability to deliver an exceptional entertainment experience. He also said the company expected record Net Bookings in fiscal 2027, establishing a new baseline for the business and supporting improved profitability.
